Esperimental Escalade special order The Story
I designed, built and sold golf cars, Estate cars and Neighborhood Electric Vehicles (NEVs) for years.  This is how I did it.
(Photos below are a mixture of all the cars I produced.)
When you make golf cars for a living,
you get to go some pretty cool places and meet fantastic people.
This is me at Boyd Coddington's Garage.
Some perks to the job, include test driving other electric cars, like this flat car built to support cameras for the movie industry.

To build a golf car, you gotta have a concept and a plan.  Then you get to the dirtywork of sculpting a full sized prototype in wood, fiberglass and bondo.  Its long hours and hot dirty work.
First sketch the car you want to build Build the car prototype from wood, bondo and fiberglass sculpt the car body

Once you've built the body and mould, you start poppin out parts.  Here are some examples, (right) my LS Sports Truck front end, (center) a special request one piece race car body and (left) a full body of the boydster.
This is just the beginning, there is still a lot to do!

Next comes the chassis.   I often use a Club Car chassis (left), but on occation the chassis may need to be built like the one for the race car (center) or this blue one built  special for my LS Sports Truck (for Falkon Tires and the Sema Show).
(Check out "The Bling" and "The Glamor" pages for more pics on this special build.)
