How
do you get from concept...

to finished roadster?

First you
hire a designer like
Eric Brockmeyer
to render your concept!

Then you
hire a metal fabricator like MarCel's of Corona, California.
The shop lays out a skeleton for the roadster, over the chassis, using
steel square tubing.
Its easy to bend and weld and makes a strong frame for the assembly of
body panels.
This frame work shows the boundries of the metal panels in 3D. |
| Fit the
first panel in place. Lining it up and clamp it and check it. |

Continue
adding panels, fitting, clamping and welding.
Note the only half of the front fenders are in place. The
front fenders will require two pieces to get the shape right. |
(Marcel
discusses the progress.) |
Seat's
in! The rear of the roadster is shaping up nicely!
With
the body flipped over, the welding can be finished.
Front
fenders in place, work can be started on the dash board.
Beautiful
metal work...
That's one sexy rear end! |
Completed
body with grill in place. |
A
proper profile! |
| Some
finish bondo and its ready for paint! |
A
little paint... |
some
color... |
| And
that's how you get from concept... |
To this! |
